The early history of this branch dates back to 1947 when Mr. Boleslaw Hladki, the secretary of Branch # 2 in London, Ontario established contact with a group of Polish ex-servicemen who worked on farms in the vicinity of Alviston. As a result, a meeting was called at which Branch # 11 was formed. Unfortunately, the branch suspended operations in 1949. Some branch members moved to sarnia, but most joined Group # 14 of the Polish Alliance of Canada. They helped in the construction of the Polish Hall and played an active role in the establishment of a Polish parish and the construction of the church.

The next phase of the history of the branch began in 1964 when the combatants formed a branch of the Polish Veterans Organization.
